Matrimony Account

How do I sign up?

You could sign up for this matrimonial service account from our registration page here, All you need to have is a valid email, to which an activation code/ link will be sent upon successful registration. Please follow the instructions on the email.

I have registered, but have not received the activation link. What am I supposed do now?

There could be several reasons for this, some of them are
You may have given a wrong/expired email address
If this is the case register with the valid email address again. You email provider might be blocking our emails
If this is the case you have to add our domain matrimony.lk and tamilmatrimony.lk to your email safe list.

I am trying to register but it says my e-mail address already exist, what am I supposed to do now?

There could be several reasons for this, some of them are
You may have registered with us, but may not have activated it. please go to the activation page here and generate a new activation code. If you do not remember the password go to forgot password to recover it.

May be you are already registered and activated try to login, if not successfull, try to send activation code, if you have received it then you can activate and reuse it again. Otherwise your email is banned for violating our terms and conditions. Use a different email to register and obey our Terms and conditions.

Can I register multiple profiles? Like my siblings, friends and relatives?

Of course Yes, This portal is designed in a way that any registered user can put unlimited number of profiles. But it is limited to 2 profiles at the moment, you can send the request to our administrator with your registered email to increase the limit from here. It is done free of charge.

I want to remove my account from “Srilanka Matrimony (Matrimony.lk)”, What should I do?

You should remove all your profiles and send a message to our staff with your registered e-mail address, we will do the rest.



Matrimonial Profile(s)

How do I register my profile?

Once you have logged in to the system after successfull registration and activation, go to “My account” menu and choose “My Profiles”, you will see a button “Add Profile”. Click on it and follow the steps. Once our support staff reviewed, it will be published. Usually approval takes 6 to 24 hours. You will be notified when it is published.

When I register my profile, I see an option “Display Type” what does this mean?

We respect your privacy, hence we let you to decide on the same.
Any profile can have 2 Display types
Public – Profile will be shown to any one accessing the Srilanka Matrimony (Matrimony.lk) site.
Private - Any registered members of Srilanka Matrimony Matrimony.lk) with at least one active profile will be able to view the information.
Aslo your contact information, Astrology Information and Photos can be protected in an additional level “Protected”. If you set any of the three to this level, then it will not be shown to any one. However registered users with minimum one profile will have the option to send a request to view the protected information, with their profile information. If you are also interested you should login and grant permission by selecting “My Account”-> “Pending Approvals” .

I have registered my profile, but it is not appearing when I search from “Search Profile” option, why?

Probably our staff have not reviewed it or banned your account for violation our terms and conditions.

I am a Marriage Broker, can I add profiles?

No, you cannot add profiles unless you get written permission from CDL Technologies (Pvt) Ltd.



Contacting Profiles

How can I contact members anonymously?

We have made an inbuilt system that allows you to send and receive anonymous messages to and from other members. We strongly encourage members to send messages without any contact information until you are satisfied with the details. When you view a profile (If you are logged in and have at least one profile) you will see “Add to Contact” and “Send Message” links. You can click on “Add to Contact” to add the profile into your contact list so that you can contact later or you may use “Send Message” to send the messages instantly.
However some profile owners mostly who do not access internet very often may have turned off this facility. In such case you will have to contact them via phone/ fax/ snail mail. Depending on the submitted information. Whenever a message is sent, the receiver will be sent an email notification about the message and the sender will get a confirmation.

How can I view my Incoming and Sent messages?

Choose “My Messages” link, you will have link “Inbox” to view all your incoming messages, ”Sent Items” to view your send messages. Also “Trash” to view your deleted messages. “Contact List” will hold all contacts added by you while viewing their profiles.
You could reply any messages in your inbox and resend the messages in your sent items.



Paid Services

What services are offered free by this matrimonial portal?

Anyone who has access to Internet can post profiles for free of charge. Even if you are not an Internet user we will post your profiles free. All you have to do is to send the prospective bride/grooms details (Photograph if you like) to our administrator along with copy of valid identity of the person sending the profile by snail mail. Our administrator’s details are found here.


What are paid services offered by this matrimonial portal?

Following services are offered to any Gold Members (Paid Members)

  • Sending messages to any user using inbuilt messaging system. You will be able to send 20 messages per 24 hour duration per paid profile.
  • Able to see other user’s contact details if they have given it in their profile.
  • You can upload about 10 photos for paid profile.
  • We will verify your contact details such as phone no and address and mark it as verified. This is to ensure that you are seriously looking for a partner for marriage.
  • Your profile will be marked with an icon, indication that you are a Gold member.

We will give additional services as time goes on


How much I will have to pay and for how long it is valid?

For anyone depending on the package the charges will be Rs500/Rs1000/Rs1500/Rs2000/Rs2500/US$10/US$15/US$20//US$25 depending on the packages chosen.

Those who lives in Sri Lanka or can pay in Sri Lanka has to select packages in Rs while others can choose packages in US$.

Your membership is valid for 1,3,6,12 months depending on the package.


How this payment process is done?

The procedure is given below:
Step 1
You sign up for and account and activate it.

Step 2
You post your profile.

Step 3
After we approved the profile, you can create an order here with the package you are interested in. For local payment you will be given our bank account details after you complete the order, for credit card payment once we approved you will be able to pay the order.

Step 4
Once we received your payment we will upgrade the profile to “Gold” and it will last for 1,3,6,12 months depending on the package.


How can I pay for the order I made to upgrade my profile(s)?

Those who live in Sri Lanka or have relatives to do the payment can do it in following ways.
  • Pay by cash to our company account at Commercial Bank of Ceylon. You will get the account details when you finish the order.
  • Pay by cheque (crossed) drawn in favour to “CDL Technologies (Pvt) Ltd” and post it to our administrator, details are furnished here.
Those living abroad with no one to pay money in Sri Lanka
  • You can Pay through Money Bookers (www.moneybookers.com)
  • You can pay by credit card (credit card processing is done through www.moneybookers.com)


I have a Gold Profile, I have found a partner for him/ her and removed it before Gold Member status expirers, and can I create another profile and get the balance?

No, it is not possible.
